Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression.
Use your imagination to create a film, song, artwork, photograph, poem, short story or dance routine. You may enter as many times as you like in as many categories as you like. Each entry must be accompanied by an official entry form. Be sure to reflect the theme in your work.
2017-2018 Reflections Theme is Within Reach
Literature – Fiction or nonfiction, prose, poetry, drama, reflective essay, narrative, or short story (must not exceed 2,000 words or 8 ½ x 11 inches, one side only), Hand written or typed
Visual Arts – 2D original print, drawing, painting, collage (cut and pasted materials such as clippings and photos), metal etching or punch work, fiber work or computer-generated artwork. (maximum size 24 x 30 inches including a mat, frames not admitted)
Photography – A single photo, panoramic, photomontage, a multiple exposure, negative sandwich or photogram. Original black and white and color images are accepted (maximum size 11 x 14 inches including a mat, framed photos are not accepted)
Musical Composition –Voice, instruments or a combination of both, with or without lyrics (maximum time 5 minutes, 1 GB in file size. Videos are not accepted.)
Dance Choreography – Only new and original choreography inspired by the theme may be submitted. The dance can be performed by an individual or a group, although only one student may be the choreographer (student submitting entry). Maximum time 5 minutes and 1GB (one gigabyte) in file size
Film Production – Original work, animation, narrative, documentary, experimental, multimedia (no PowerPoint, maximum time 5 minutes, 1GB (one gigabyte) in file size
